Absolutely stunning, Eric! I really love how you keep the background from interfering with the subject. It really stands out against the black and it's not at all difficult to imagine this blossom as a spaceship. :)

Thank you, sir! I like using spot metering on my camera to pull the subject's exposure up while dropping the background out. This one took just a bit of PhotoShop work to finish out the black.

It's absolutely beautiful! Leaving the background black really allows the viewer to concentrate on the subject.
