This Eastern Screech-Owl has made a home in my neighbor's tree. I shot from the driveway, from the back of his pick-up, and on top of the toolbox on the pick-up. In the fading light, shutter speeds were slow with a 500mm lens. Some movement in the photo, but OK for the circumstances, I thought.

really cute...
i think its sharp enough
important here that teh middle part is sharp, & this part seems to have no blur at all (maybe just a tiny little bit)
great capture

Hi there!
Thanks much for the comment! I like this shot, too. Out of 87 frames, this was by far the best. But I suspect I'll have more chances to shoot him (her??), so I'll always be looking for something a tad better.
Glad you like the shot.

Have a great day!

Pretty shoes, paddling, icy winter mornings and sexy brit actors... some things that make it all worthwhile :giggle:

LOL!...Yes, it's very real! I couldn't believe my luck in getting a chance to shoot him (her???)...just sat there looking at me until I started to climb down (I was standing on top of a tool box in the back of a pick-up truck)...when I started down, it just popped back in the hole and disappeared. Thanks for the nice comment!
